Counselling Services Manager
I have a background in psychiatric nursing and worked as a Mental Health Nurse for many years. After spending some years with my growing family, I retrained as a Counsellor at the beginning of the 1990s. I have a Diploma and MA in Counselling in Primary Care and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision all from Keele University.
Alongside managing the work of the various GP counsellors I also manage the Staff Counselling Service for some of the Shropshire Trusts.
I use an integrated approach in my counselling, drawing from the many models of counselling
I have studied and the varying workshops and courses I have attended. My aim is to provide the client with an approach which suits them, tailoring my counselling to the individual.
