Hearing Voices

There are three support and/or therapeutic groups that we know about in Shropshire for
people who experience hearing voices and seeing unusual things.

Support Group in Dawley for Voice Hearers, Carers and family

There is a small group of clinical psychologists who work locally who meet monthly
for peer supervision, broadly to do with psychosis. Members use the group for clinical supervision, or for discussion of wider issues relating to, for example, psychiatry, diagnosis, working in multidisciplinary teams- in terms of how these affect people with whom we work who have experiences often labelled 'psychotic'.
If you would like further information please contact Cailzie Dunn, Shrewsbury (01743) 243300.

The Department of Psychological Therapies ran a series of seminars about psychological approaches to psychosis in 2003. Report of this training.
